It's Grab Bag Time!

Wohooooooooo! The celebrations for iNSD have begun and the store at ScrapMatters is filled with amazing grab bags and new releases!
And there's a gorgeous free with purchase kit (it's yours if you spend at least $20) and a hybrid free with purchase (if you spend $30) and let me tell you, it's really worth it! The kit is stunning and the hybrid printables are so creative!

But let me tell you a bit more about the grab bags. The deals are amazing and the bags are packed full with new products. You don't want to miss them! Check out the store previews - some grab bags are fully revealed there, others are a surprise - but they're all worth it! They are for sale until May 6, when they will be unpacked and the items will be sold separately in the store - so make sure you grab them now while they're such a good deal!
This week is a crazy one for me (end of the semester) so I only had time to scrap with one grab bag - but I'll be sure to use more during this iNSD weekend! I started with Plum Dumpling Designs' bag.
Check out the store preview for the detailed images - the color scheme of this bag is so yummy!!!
Here's what I did with it:

Ready for iNSD?

I seriously cannot wait for the weekend to arrive!! And not just because the semester (and my last class ever) is coming to an end: it's iNSD weekend!

AND, the Queen of Scrap contest is starting on Saturday! I had such a blast competing last year (with a whopping 137 projects - LOs and hybrid - completed in one month) and earning the title of Princess of Scrap. Hybrid Cuteness

One of the April guests at ScrapMatters, Armina Designs, has this adorable pack in the store:

As soon as I saw it, it screamed "hybrid" to me! ;)
So I managed to squeeze in a couple of projects yesterday - I'm so glad I did, because they turned out super cute.
First, a set of bookmarks - I plan to give these to my parents. Lion for Mom and the zebra for Dad (his favorite team's symbol is the zebra).

They're double sided. Yep, I laminated them - my experience so far with bookmarks tells me that this is the best way to go. Mod Podge also works, but it stays sticky for a few weeks - not good for books that have shiny pages.
Then I also made a card (which was the first idea I had when I saw the product in the store):

Most of my projects look better in real life than in picture, but this one especially! :-( I used crackle accents for the animals and mounted them on foam dots - they look really so cool, but you miss the dimension in the picture. Ah well...
I also completed the hybrid project for the May newsletter and I can't wait to show that off - won't be for a couple of weeks at least though. I haven't taken pictures yet and I'm dreading it because I know it'll be a pain to photograph. When DH saw it finished, he said he didn't expect it to be so cute: and this is the highest compliment, for me! ;) Sign up for the ScrapMatters newsletter if you haven't already. :)

Spring Basket and some LOs

I know (and I hate it): I haven't blogged in quite some time! I do have a few things to show, though. Most are pretty old, too! This project was featured in the March newsletter at ScrapMatters and I'd better post it before spring is over! ;)

Putting this together was quite a pain, but isn't it adorable? ;)
Then I have some random LOs to share. First off, these two (I'm slowly building my DC album) that I really love:

And then there's this one (finished scrapping Easter pics from last year):

I hope to blog again soon with a few other things to share. ;)

Easter's Coming!

Easter weekend is here and I'm sure you'll all have many Easter pictures to scrap once it's over. I recently scrapped a page about last year using Sahlin Studio's gorgeous Easter/spring products:

Amy is Retiring...

I have a very sad announcement to make...

Amy Sumrall is retiring from designing! :-( Her whole store is 50% off until Sunday and then all her designs will be retired. It's your last chance to stock up on some of Amy's incredible doodles and goodies.
