Hello and happy Friday! Lots of awesome new products at The Lilypad (20% off through the weekend) that I want to share today! First off, an adorable kit by One Little Bird

I used it for this page:

Next, the latest installment in Project Mouse by Britt-ish Designs and Sahlin Studio:

I don't have Disney pictures (that are perfect to scrap with these kits!), but I had some zoo pictures from Australia and this kit seemed made just for them!

Summer Punch

The latest collection by Mari Koegelenberg is all kinds of dreamy! Especially the brushes:

And for once, I did have some very appropriate summery pictures to use with this kit. :)

I love how carefree and happy this page is!

Trip of a Lifetime

I am so excited to share what I created with this month's Memory Pockets Monthly at The Lilypad! First off, I made a page with the main kit and papers by Sara Gleason.

Then, my jaw just about dropped to the floor when I saw the add ons by Sahlin Studio:

These products were absolutely perfect for me to scrap a recap page about my month-long April travels. I scrapped these pages in 9"x12" size (a first!). I love the right page with the 3x4 cards. I had to matte my 8.x"x11" hybrid map onto a larger piece of paper, and I selected this pretty vellum from my stash, since it matched the colors perfectly.

Credits:

This page is hybrid (=I printed out the digital designs by Sahlin Studio on Canon matte photo paper 8.5x11 and 4x6). Then I added more details.. washi tape, stitching, and of course stamping.

I chose one or two photos from each of the countries we visited.

I also made a fun recap of the main statistics of the trip. I couldn't fit more, but I love this summary.

I added numbers to the map for the countries we visited, and listed them on a journaling card.

More stamping on journaling cards..

I made the title combining three pretty alpha stamps. It truly was the trip of a lifetime!

I'm so happy with how this spread turned out!

May gallery

With my travels, I never shared here the page I made for the May gallery at write.click.scrapbook. The theme was everyday, so I scrapped a couple pictures I took of a groundhog in our backyard. Looking out our kitchen window is one of my favorite daily activities!

Day in the Life

I think this was my first time playing along with Day in the Life. I didn't really take many pictures, but I had fun telling the story of this day.

I used the digital Little Things Story Kit by Ali Edwards, as well as one of her previous Story Kit stamp sets, Prompts. Those little icons were perfect to tell the story!

Have a nice week!

Inked | Color

You guys.. I am still pinching myself that I was asked to contribute to Inked | Color, an online class taught by Maggie Massey at Studio Calico!

I have a big, big love for stamps and bright colors, so this class couldn't have been a better fit for me! There's still time to sign up, and classes start on May 12! Here are a couple sneaks of what I have been working on for class... ;)

I am using this stamp that is one of 4 stamp sets released for this class.
Hope to see you in class!

Heart This One Photo

Hello and happy Friday! The page I am sharing today means a lot to me, because it's about one of the most important people in my life, my beloved grandmother. Her health has been declining rapidly these past two years, so I wanted to document one of the happy moments she's had when I visited her recently.

This is one very special lady right there, who gave me the best childhood memories I could possibly have.

I combined 2 new products from The Lilypad (left) and digital brushes from Ali Edwards (right) to make this page.

This lovely kit is perfect for Mother's Day (this weekend in the US) and it's 20% off too!

An Awesome Story

And after the pandas.. my second page from my vacation features a koala! :) Straight from Australia.

It was seriously the cutest!! This is a hybrid page. I printed out the picture, word art by Ali Edwards and journaling, then added it on top of the background paper, and embellished with some paper and washi, plus a couple of physical stamps.

I love how Ali's products encourage me to get those stories told! It would have been easy to make a page with this awesome photo and no words, but I wanted to document more than just the cuteness.

Click

Hello hello! Wow, it's May already. I was gone the entire month of April.. just got back last night. I was on the trip of a lifetime, to China, Australia and Thailand. So no scrapping for a month, but plenty of memories! I came back with nearly 3,000 photos(!!), and the first thing I did today was make a page with the latest Story Kit from Ali Edwards: Click.

I love this theme since photos are a big big part of my life! I haven't even finished downloading all my photos yet, but this one taken one of our first few days in China deserved its own page. Wherever we went, Chinese people kept asking to take photos with us, which we found pretty funny. And then as I was taking a photo of my husband with the pandas, this happened. It was so funny and cute!! :)

I also included the shot of my husband and the pandas that I had set out to take. :)
Also, if you want a chance to grab past Story Kits and Stamps on sale, check out the store for some great deals going on right now!
