This Sweet Life

Sahlin Studio has a new kit in her store, and it's 20% off for a few more hours.

Isn't it gorgeous?! I started out meaning to make a fall-ish page and intended to use quite a bit of the purple touches in the kit, but then DH boycotted me by not passing along the photos I made him take of me with my new haircut this morning, so I sought out the sunnier parts of the kit and came up with this hybrid page instead. :)

Moving

No, I'm not moving, but One Little Bird Design has indeed moved her store to The Lilypad! Isn't that exciting?! And to celebrate, she has a gorgeous new moving kit in the store today:

I used it to scrap a favorite photo from this summer.

Birthday Kit

Ju Kneipp has a new birthday kit in the store today, and it was just what I needed to scrap my birthday!

I had fun making this page!

I also used the kit to make a birthday card for my grandmother, since her birthday is coming up soon. I have a confession to make.. as much as I love making cards, I have a complete aversion to making birthday cards. Not really sure why! But I love how this one turned out!

Project Life - Week 24

I have had this week ready to share for a while, so here it is. But first, let me share that the new Project Life cards are available!

Also, if you've been waiting to get the Project Life Clementine kit, it is back in stock, along with many other core kits!

I've placed my order and should be getting my new cards on Tuesday. Yay! OK, here's my Week 24. :)

Project Life - Week 24

I kept things rather simple this week, to get it done faster. I used papers from the Amy Tangerine Sketchbook 6X6 Pad and did some stamping.

Project Life - Week 24

The green title alpha is by Studio Calico, and I used ColorBox pigment ink to stamp with the Stepping Stone Alpha by Studio Calico, the Amy Tangerine Sketchbook stamps (the arrow), the Smash date stamp and the EK Success Image Tree typewriter alpha.

Project Life - Week 24

The animal stamps are by Hampton Arts, while the "so cool" stamp is by Studio Calico (retired). As usual, I printed all my photos on the Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, 4 x 6 Inches, and I used several photo collage templates by Designs by Lili.

Another week done! I have not been in the mood for PL this week, sadly, so I have only begun working on Week 25.

Fabulous Fall

A couple of weeks ago Jenn Barrette collabed with Zoe Pearn on a fall kit. I didn't have time to create with it at the time, but I knew I wanted to use it soon. It's an adorable fall kit:

The colors are not the traditional fall ones, and maybe that's why I love this kit so much.

Is it starting to feel like fall in your corner of the world? It is here, and I am totally loving the cool weather!

New kit and a CT call!

Mari Koegelenberg has a new collab in her store today, and it's beautiful!

The kit is full of adorable pieces, including some bokeh goodness!

San Diego Zoo 2012 (1)

And I also have a fantastic opportunity to share with you: Mari is having a CT call!

Mari's was one of my first teams ever, and I have been on her team since June 2009 - over three years now! She is a fabulous designer and a beautiful person - it is a great team to be on!

Crazy 4U

Bree of Scrap'It Designs has a new collection in her store today, and I am kinda in love with it!! ;)

I love the mix of neutral and bright colors. This collection is huge, and a real bargain! I am totally in love with this page I made!

It came together in no time! This collection makes it really easy to whip up a page, since you don't have to go looking for anything else, there's so much variety in it!

I'm Super

I had so much fun making a page with the new releases at The Lilypad!

This kit is bright and versatile - just what I like! I also loved using these cards by Emily Merritt - I love the design of these so much!

Finally, I know I will be using this chevron pack by Kaye Winiecki over and over!

And here's my page! The kit inspired me to do an all about me page, so I went with it, and I'm glad I got these thoughts on paper!

I'm Super

Journaling:
OK, I’m not really super.. But I have come to realize more and more in this last year that I am not happy unless I take on many things at once. I always complain about hardly having enough time to do it all, but in truth I would be completely lost and bored if I only did half of what I do ! :)

I have another page to share, I will post it later today. :)

It's Here

Leora Sanford has a new collab with Paislee Press today! I love the style of both these designers, so I was really happy to hear they were working on a kit together! It did not disappoint!

I had my first salted caramel macchiato ever last week, and I loved the instagram picture I took of it, so I thought it would be fun to make a page about it. :)

Desperately trying to get to the end of the week.. I have a couple of extremely busy weeks ahead of me, but I am so tired already! I do have quite a few more pages to share, so do stop by soon. ;)

Neon card

I recently bought some Hero Arts neon yellow ink pad and hadn't tried it yet, so I used it to make a card. I based it off a sketch by Page Maps. :)

  Shine On

It's a really fun color! I made a cloud by misting a cloud-shaped piece of vellum paper with Mister Huey's Calico White. I love how it turned out, and I will certainly be misting vellum again!
The stamps I used are from a sold out set by Studio Calico, and the sun is from a Studio Calico mistable element sticker set on which I used the neon ink. I also stamped some letters and a star from the EK Success Image Tree typewriter alphabet. The base for the card is American Crafts white cardstock.

Feels Like Fall

It most definitely feels like fall around here, so my weekly card for DH is an autumn card. :) I used the gorgeous new collab by Jenn Barrette and Kristin Cronin-Barrow:

And, it is 30% off right now! I had fun using this lovely background on my page!

September BYOC

How can it be September already?? Well, the September BYOC is so pretty that it almost makes me glad that a new month is here. ;) I made the most of Labor Day and scrapped a couple of pages. Yay!

The theme of this BYOC is back to school, but I found it versatile enough to use it for a variety of topics.

Life Is Good (Mostly.. ;))

I really enjoyed my day off for Labor Day, and scrapped three pages! Here's one of them. I made it for the September scraplift challenge at The Lilypad, and I kinda love how it turned out!!

Life Is Good

Mess It Right Up by Kaye Winiecki

I'll keep this short and sweet, because this has NOT been a good day. I went to the office this morning, and my laptop died. I wasted my day doing a backup and going to the Apple store, and I am now hoping they can fix it, and fast. Not a good start of the week at all! The only good news is that we only have 3 more days to go until the weekend, and only 2 until the September BYOC! :)

Project Life - Week 23

I've had this spread ready to share for a while now, finally I'm getting around to posting! This was the second week of my mom's visit. Not nearly as busy as the previous week - I managed to fit everything in with just one insert (I used the Design H from the Photo Pocket Pages - Small Variety Pack 1). Yay me! :)

Project Life - Week 23

The color scheme this week came from Cosmo Cricket's 2WENTY-THR3E collection. (Plus, I thought it would be really cool to use it for Week 23! LOL)

Project Life - Week 23

I used a few Cosmo Cricket tags (2WENTY-THR3E), and embellished them with some chipboard stickers, stickers from the Project Life Clementine kit, and the EK Success Image Tree typewriter alphabet stamped with the Tsukineko Small-Size VersaFine, Smoky Gray(I love these small ink pads!). Papers are mostly from the Cosmo Cricket 6x6 paper pad

Project Life - Week 23

I created background for two of the pockets by misting some Mr Huey custard and overdue mists on American Crafts white cardstock  using a Studio Calico chevron mark.
I added in quite a few bits of memorabilia this week. :) Here's front and back of the insert:

Project Life - Week 23

And here are a few of my favorite details of this week!

Project Life - Week 23

I cut the frame with my Silhouette Electronic Cutting Tool. Fun! The date stamp is the usual K&Company Smash Stamp.

Project Life - Week 23

On the title card I also used the Stampendous Tiny Alphabet, which is my favorite little alpha stamp.

Project Life - Week 23

Here are the journaling cards I used for the insert - they are from the Project Life Clementine kit, and I embellished them with stamps. I used the EK Success Image Tree typewriter alphabet for "dinner" and the stars; "good times" is from a sold out Studio Calico set; the jar is from Dear Lizzy Neopolitan Stamps; the flowers are from Buttercup Clear Stamps (Lily Bee Designs); the fork+knife are from Let's Eat by TPC Studio. The inks are Tsukineko Small-Size VersaFine (Smoky Gray) and Spiced Marmalade Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I also embossed the fork and knife with Mustard Zing and Tsukineko VersaMark clear ink. The little newspaper flower is from Summer Camp by Kate Hadfield and Sahlin Studio.

I'm almost done with week 24 (just need to add some journaling) so I hope to share it soon. :)
