December Kits at Studio Calico: Cypress Grove

Hello and happy December! For the 12th month in a row, I am here on the first of the month to share a page made with the new digital releases from Studio Calico. Kits go for sale at noon EST for subscribers, and 3 PM EST for everyone else.

I used the icons on a card from the Christmas Bingo set, recolored it, and punched out the circles. Then I built a Christmas tree with them. The rest of my page comes from my stash, including some leftover bits of paper from Lollipop Guild (the Dec. 2015 scrapbook kit) and Canyonlands (Nov. 2015).

I love how it turned out!

Studio Calico November Kits: Sonnet

Hello and happy November! The Sonnet kits go for sale today at Studio Calico, and I got a head start using some of the digital products for this month.

This is an 8.5"x11" hybrid page. I used the 12"x12" Sonnet digital papers and the Sonnet 6"x8" digital stamp on the background, which was printed on a piece of cardstock.

Then I added some embellishments from my stash - wood veneer letters, chipboard stars and sequins.

Also... did you hear about the latest stamp subscription from Studio Calico? It's a 6"x8" stamp set.

It's a really nice set, I see many used for the numbers - birthdays, milestones, year in review (like how I used it for the pumpkin patch, but with some photos that recap your year)...

August Kits at Studio Calico: Young at Heart

Hello and happy August! As has been my tradition since January, I made a couple of hybrid pages using the digital releases from Studio Calico for the Young at Heart August kits. They are both 8.5"x11". From what I've seen of the kits, this is going to be a good month!

To make this page, I used these digital products:

The background was made repeating one of the journal cards from this set, and the hearts are cut out from another of the cards. I recolored the labels to match.

I stamped the title using an old 6x8 alpha stamp called Oliver, and since the colors turned out to be brighter than I expected (I blame it on the matte photo paper, which is awesome for printing, less awesome for stamping), I added some vellum to the bottom of the page to tone it down. I love the result!

I fell in love with the design and colors of this greeting card by Jasmine Jones, so I used it as my background, combined with one of the 12x12 digital papers and a printable word strip.

Jolly Holiday Kits at Studio Calico

Hello and happy May! As per my tradition started in January of this year, I made a page using the newly released digital items for the Jolly Holiday kits at Studio Calico.

I also mixed in a few items from my stash, including the BRB and Canal Street embellishment kits, and the Annabelle alpha stamp.

I used the 12x12 digital papers along with several printables from this month's release.

Hello and happy Wednesday! Halfway through the week, and the weekend couldn't come sooner! I have two projects to share with you today. The first one is a notecard set I made for the April Project Parade at The Lilypad.

Studio Calico February Kits

Hello and happy February! It's Reveal Day at Studio Calico for the Savannah kits, and to get in the mood for these lovely new kits I have made a page with some of the digital printables.

The hard part was to get my husband to pose in the photo.. plus it's been so dark here lately! In fact, this is an older photo, so I will swap it out as soon as we take new pictures. I'm hoping today is the day! :)

Here are the printables I used:

 

The 3"x3" card set also is available as a physical product (starting at noon EST today if you are a subscriber, and at 3 PM EST for everyone). I resized the cards at 2.5" for my page prior to printing them out. I cut out all the labels with my Silhouette so they are ready to go - super handy for Project Life with the Documenter kit! I love that they come with a blank version and a version with some pre-printed words on the labels - I chose to print the latter.

I also used some heart puffy stickers and an old stamp to finish this page.

For the cards that say "I love you", I used my newly discovered foiling technique.

I had to cut of my poor husband's head in this photo because there was a lamp right behind him that looked like it was on his head - ugh! I hate when that happens, and of course I didn't catch it at the time I took the photo.

December Daily 2015

Is it too early to think about Christmas? I think it is... but at the same time I couldn't resist get some of my Christmas supplies out to scrap a tradition of years past using some of the latest December Daily products by Ali Edwards.

The icons I used on those 9 circles come from the December Daily Icon Digital Stamp. And since they are digital brushes, I could make them exactly the size I needed for my page. I also added colors to some of them in a traditional Christmas scheme.

I added some of my oh-so-hoarded Christmas embellishments, and the page was done.

I love how it turned out!

Black & White Story Kit

Today I am sharing a page made with this month's Digital Story Kit from Ali Edwards. If you purchase either the digital or physical story kit or the stamp, you get access to the online content - inspiration and story sparks from Ali about the month's theme.
This month's theme - black & white - really resonated with me, and I made this page to reflect a bit about who I am.

This is a hybrid page made with the digital Story Kit. The background was made by repeating one of the journaling cards. I just added a couple embellishments to add a pop of color and texture.

Build Digital Story Kit

The theme for Ali Edwards's Digital Story kit for August is Build. And I was inspired to make two hybrid pages with it today. I combined them with my Studio Calico kits from this month (Pop Art).
For the first page, I printed some of the Build digital brushes onto white card stock. I tried feeding the paper through my typewriter but I couldn't get it through, so I typed my journaling on copy paper and pasted it there.

Just yesterday I got the news of a big work success I achieved, and this is how I chose to document it.
Here are a couple details:

The next page is all about pretty paper and embellishments. I love that floral paper from Crate Paper!
The design was 100% inspired by that big cross from the Build kit. I colored it navy and printed it on my kraft background, along with the title (This Is What It's All About). I also added a brush on top of my photo.

I paired this page with my favorite embellishments this month - gold washi tape and puffy plus stickers. :) I can't believe I had not scrapbooked this lovely family photo yet!
